RMB Ventures was born in the mid-1990s, a child of RMB’s Corporate Finance business that saw the opportunity to invest in equity alongside RMB’s client base. The business has over the past years evolved into one of the largest, most successful private equity franchises in Southern Africa, investing in more than 40 businesses. We now invest predominantly in mid cap and large South African businesses, investing between R100m and R1billion in our partner businesses.

Our private equity transactors and value creation experts are innovative and unconventional in their thinking. Their ability to think differently, and belief that great minds do not always have to think alike, is what sets us apart. We are in the business of finding innovative solutions for our partners’ unique business challenges.
