Andrew graduated from the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 1996 with a BCom, Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting. He is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and a CFA Charter holder.

Andrew joined RMB in 2001 where he focused on the South African, US, UK and European leveraged finance markets. He joined RMB Ventures five years later in 2006 and has been involved in both the origination and exit of a number of transactions.

Andrew served as the CEO of RMB Ventures from 2017 until December 2025 and served on the RMB FRM Committee, RMB C&I Exco and RMB Investment Committee. Andrew continues as a member of the RMB Investment Committee.
